Tips for keeping kitchen clean

Sponge is not only useful for cleaning the spills of water, we can use to clean the grinder after grinding batter....

 

Mr. Muscle works great !! & having several pieces of cloth handy helps.. like cleaning Hands, cleaning stove, etc.,

have old socks handy they are the best to clean the stoves. just dip in water / soap depending on the strain and wipe it off. wonders happen in a min with little effort

 

Before you put the cleaning cloth for drying, I think one should wipe clean the area and the tiles, if any, around the 'sink'. Most of the time the platform is shiny clean but the sink area always have the detergent residue settled in the corners

I find wiping the kitchen surfaces and floor with water to which a little baking soda has been added helps keep insects like ants etc away.

thanx for the tips ....but one doubt ....u have mentioned that u do not have cockroaches ...is it that cockroaches come because of untidy kitchen . i have heard that it actually comes due to improper driange pipings..

these days most of us live in apartments which r built by builders ,,,,and ususallly the quality of fittings and materials used will not be of good standard...hence we land up with cockroach problems.( this reason was told to me by a pest -control person ). also to avoid cockroaches do not use newspapers in the kitchen shelves . newspapers r adorned by cockroaches to put their egg shells.

my cousin has moved into a house about 15 yrs back and till date they hvnt experienced any kind of cockroach problems. her's is an individual house which they have taken good care quiality of fitting and materials when the building was constructed.

hope my information is right. i too have heavy cockroach problems most of the time....
