wat sewing machine to buy in u.s. ???

Hey guys I live in u.s. ,

I.m a begginer for sewing ..

I like to buy a sewing machine here in u.s , can anyone
Please help in guiding which one to buy ,,

is brother a good machine ?
I saw few reviews good n same equal bad reviews !!!!
So just confused , can anyone plz tell me the model number
To be bought ,,,

My use is gonna be to stitch salwars and blouses..
Gonna leatn and start to stitch ,,
Very much interested ,,

I recently bought a Brother DS 140.excellent machine, no trouble at all.It has 40 stitches including quilting,etc.overall a very good machine.it also has auto threader.

Lakshmi,glad I was of some help.I bought my machine here in India-hyderabad.If you are relocating immediately,I would advise you to buy it in India.If you are going to stay in US for some more years,you can buy it there.But generally electronic items from US will have to be converted to our voltage here in India so I don;t prefer to buy electronic items in US to bring back to India.If you want to do just basic stitching,you can buy a basic machine there and use it.When you come back to India,then you can buy a good machine once you have got good grip on stitching.
