    Hey,

I am interested in starting a home based business. I plan to bring in a few Indian products and sell it here.

Do we need to register the company or is it possible to do it on a small scale basis without registration ?

is anyone else doing a home based business?
Its NOT a MLM kinda business. nothing like Amway or the others.

    TIA,

    Santy:thumbsup :cheers

Well, I am not a business woman but can help a bit.

    1. You need to have a Qatari sponsor for a the Company
    2. You can't open a branch unless you have a contract with locally registered company
    3. You can have side agreement to share the profit but need to be disclosed for taxation
    4. Trade licenses and Registration with Ministry of Business and Trade is next step

On otherhand, you can do business without proper registration, but you may not be having legal right to sue others and viceversa. This will limit your business, unless you do it on cash and carry basis.

If you still have specific doubts, just check Google "Doing business in Qatar".

    Thanks
