Raipur is capital city of Chattisgarh(CG) state of India. CG is newly formed state of India. I recently shifted to this city and started exploring places in and around Raipur. I thought of sharing my travelogue with you all. First on the list is THIRATGARH FALLS near Jagdalpur, Bastar dist., CG. Jagdalpur is approximately 360 km from Raipur. From Raipur we have to head south and pass through Damtari, kanker and reach Jaddalpur. It takes nearly 7 to 8 hours by car. The roads are very good and near kanker we have to cross a ghat section with hairpin bends. From Jagdalpur this falls is at around 38 kms inside Kanger National Park. At the park you have to take tickets to see the falls. A grill gate welcomes you to the falls. We have climb down more than 100 steps to reach the falls.

Hi All Thanks for visiting thiratgarh falls so far. Next we will go to Chitrakote falls which is about 48 km west of Jagdalpur. It is Niagara of CG state and also widest of all the falls of India. Best season is from July to October. From July to September its rainy season so the water will be muddy. During this season its very dangerous to go near the falls. So the best time is from mid September to December and enjoy the milky water falling from rocks. One can visit till February but the amount of water becomes less.
