Multiple Phulkas - the most easiest time saver. It certainly takes practise but is worth the effort - http://www.indusladies.com/forums/s...step-photos-rotis-parathas-3.html#post1140370 Hope it helps, Arch
HI ALL I do chapati daily... I do add hot water n 2 spoons of oil to mix dough.. I mix dough last thing in night and just close lid on it and keep it as it is(Not in fridge) Morning i make curry and chapati;s it will be very soft.. I parallel'ly roll and do chapatis.. First make rounds n keep, then you can roll 1/2 chapati's and start doing chapatis
Hi everyone, I already posted this query in a different thread. I need to prepare around 30 chapatis, I perpare phulkas. Can I prepare the phulka before 3-4 hrs before the guest arriave. Can I prepare and keep it in the oven at 200F along with the curries and Idli. or Shall I roll the phulkas and store them at room temperature for 3-4 hrs so that i can just toss them when the guest arrive. I dont add oil while cooking, I apply oil on the cooked chapatis and serve them. Please tell me whether the chapatis will stay soft with the above method for 3-4 hrs.
Nine9... You can use the tortilla saver to keep the phulkas as soon as you make them.. its Microwave safe and keeps phulkas really fresh.. then when the guests arrive u could just heat it in microwave for 10-20 seconds .. and the phulkas will be good and hot.. I do that all the time. I make rotis for dinner and take the remaining ones for lunch next day.. i always keep it in the tortilla saver... and heat it in microwave at work the next day.. Try it out..
