Places to Visit in Kerala?

    Next month I am planning to visit in God's own country - Kerala. Can anyone guide me what is the right time to visit this state, also which are must see destinations and places to visit in Kerala?

    you can visit a variety of places here.. do not miss the backwaters of kumarakam and kuttanadu and a houseboat trip...
    munnar the hill station, asmall visit to wagamon meadows and pine forests ... wayanadu - anotehr paradise..

    btw where are you rooted in kerala ( if so)

    there are plenty of places neyyar, ponmudi, kovalam & varkala (TRIVANDRUM-DISTRICT), aryankavu & palaruvi (Kollam-DISTRICT), Konni , sabarimala,chittar, seethathode & pamba (Pathanamthitta-District) kuttanadu(alleppey-district), Kumarakom(kottayam-district), cherayi, fort kochi, vallarpadom, marine drive (ERNAKULAM-DISTRICT), munnar, kumily, thekkadi, bodhimettu (IDUKKI-DISTRICT), athirapally waterfalls & VAAZHACHAL (trichur-district), nelliyamabathy, bharathapuzha, nila, shornur, ottapalam (Palakkad-district). WAYANAD & BEKAL FORT.. FEW PLACES WHICH I KNOW, hope it helped.

    Well, there, thats a comprehensive list. if there are 2-3 days to spend, munnar and fort kochi would be my two options. if there are more than 3 days, wayanad and kannur would be worth it.

    Each season in Kerala is special and has its own charms.

    Kerala weather is very pleasing and enjoyable throughout the year one of the reasons because of which Kerala is fastly emerging as an all season destination.

    Winters in Kerala from September to March, are mild, comfortable and pleasant. They are famous among travellers.

    Summers, from March to May, are hot but not very humid, unlike fall and winter.

    Enjoy the charm of wet Kerala and trees swaying to monsoons between June and August.

    Occasional rains and pleasant climate is seen in September and October.
