Places to see in and round Udupi, Mangalore, Kollur

Im nt clear about the direction of their travel as u havent mentioned where they start from. However, I would add on Murudeshwar temple also to the list. It is famous for the temple with largest shiva statue in India, also its location in the beach would be make it appealing as a picnic spot too.

While preparing the route plan, pls keep in mind about the long queues in the temples for darshan. In Mookambika temple, you may be able to skip the queues by going in through paid entrance,:hide:. But its not that expensive considering our time is very precious in such trips

Katil Durgai can be seen....Subrahmanya is on the other side of dharmasthala......Horanadu and Srinageri are also nearby but not sure whether time would permit.....Kadri temple can surely be covered.....

 

Aruna you can also plan Gokarna, Jog falls, Horanadu, Sringeri...we covered these along with the above you mentioned in 3nights and 4 days along with return jouney!!!

You could also plan to stop by Annegudde Vinayaka temple which in between Kundapura and Udupi on NH-17. The temple has its history from Mahabharata times. Another interesting temple is Durga Parameshwari of Kamalashile (35 kms from Kundapura). Here the goddess is worshipped in the form a linga - supposedly a convergence of Mahakali, Mahasaraswathi and Mahalakshmi.

When you say Malpe beach, do you include Saint Mary's island as well..? The travel is a nice experience..
You could also consider Bekal fort..
Also if you have time dont miss out on Karinjeshwara Temple, on the way from Mangalore to Dharmasthala, You could google for pics. I personally feel its a must visit place.
