Thanks. It is only the heat adjustments of the stove that make the edges crisp. Try the eazy aappam recipe, I have given.
Sorry, I have no choice except asking you to refer to my recipe index where I have given gravies with mushroom, cauliflower etc. You can make up your own version.
Dear Chithramma, Happy Vinayagar chathurthi !! Today i made nei appam and spoon halwa. The taste for both the menus was excellent, thanks. but for appam alone, the edges become so dark when compared to the middle portion. I used a non stick appam maker which i bought it recently. It has been well cooked but only the edges the colour is so dark brown. Even i used the flame (simmer) very low. Dont know why this has happened? Is it depends on the non stick brand ie the thickness of the appam maker? Pls explain.
hi chitraamma, today i made ennai katharikai & kalyana alu kara curry. then also made dateskheer everything came out very well. thanx and happy vinayagar chathurthi
Good fBs :thumbsup Try keeping an old tava or simmer rest under the aappam pan.Perhaps you thinned out the batter a bit too much??
Dear Chithramma, Yesterday made Atta dosai & Madurai Hotel Tiffin Saambar for dinner. It was very sumptuous & tasty. The kids loved the dosai, the sambar was also very well appreciated. As a mom when a dish with lot of veggies is a hit, I'm very happy:biggrin2:. Thank you. Your spread for Vinayagar Chaturthi is so appetising:thumbsup. Love, Damini.
Dear Mami, Made Oats-Peanut Butter Cookies - first trial. I didnt have that rings so made like ordinary cookies . It didnt become hard, it was like very crunchy just breaking texture. I dont know whether it is meant to be like that, or may be due to addition of both butters it has become more soft . But taste was really excellent. For night I made morkali by adding mormilakai, chundakkai and manathankali vathal while tempering. It tasted yummy. Though I have tried 2-3 times morkali (rava morkali and rice flour morkali) before, some how the look and texture didnt come perfect . But today it was perfect. I could have cut it into pieces if required. But we just had it from the pan itself. My DD liked it very much. Thanks for introducing me to baking and old recipes like morkali. Your Vinayaka chaturthi spread was mouth watering, picture perfect. thumbsup
