Power Yoga for Weight loss!

Hi,

Now a days everyone is opting for yoga/hot yoga/power yoga to stay fit and active and to lose oodles of weight soon...!

Just wanted to know what actually is difference between yoga and power yoga and is it really effective?
Is there any particular diet that needs to be followed while practicing this type of yoga.

This Power yoga seems to be hot favorite with all the celebrities in B-Town.
Thought to know your views before actually going for it...

[FONT=&quot]Power Yoga helps to lose weight in an intense manner and it totally depends on how much one can practice, the intensity of your yoga practice and the time or frequency of yoga practice. It is different compared to the traditional yoga. It is more of a western form of yoga that gives you an intense workout. It does not have a specific series or sets of asanas or postures like the traditional yoga.

You can say that the Power Yoga is a combination of aerobics and yoga with a lot of stretching exercises. Hi,

Power Yoga helps in flexibility of the body.

There is no major diet that needs to be followed while practicing yoga, its just that you need to watch out for spicy, fried food etc and try to add more roughage and salads in your diet if you want to loose weight.

Surya Namaskar is one of the most efficient and very good in controlling your weight related problems.....

There are 12 asanas or postures in it....if done at speed it is your exercise and if done slowly, it forms a par of yoga...

You might have heard that kareena kapoor does around 100 surya namaskar or so in 15 mins...that is the speed in which it is done which helps in weightloss and a lot of sweating...you can try it....!
