Uses and Benefits of Ganga Jal!

Hi All,

We hear many people going to Haridwara and getting Ganga Water and storing it at their homes...

I too bought it and stored it in a clean glass bottle ...but after some time , I saw some green algae coming in it.
Can anyone help me on what is the right form of storing Ganga water and what are uses and benefits of keeping this water at our homes....

I have never used it....If its good, then I'll buy the fresh water from Patanjali center.

Please let me know.

I have a lot of faith in the qualities of Gangajal. In our house, Gangajal is used in all puja ceremonies. In puja etc, sprinkling of ganga jal means that the area has become shudh or pure. Recently, scientists have testified to the unique qualities of ganga jal - it has unique anti bacterial content. Besides the stored ganga jal does not start smelling even after months.
However, please dont think of drinking ganga jal. Some one has suggested giving kids one glass of ganga water every day ! The quality of water of the River Ganga at Kanpur or Benares is too bad with all those polluting industries.

Hey,

I think gangajal available at patanjali stores etc ....has been taken from himalayas and places where there are no pollutants....since if there is any pollutant that will settle down if kept in the bottle or that water will start developing fungi......!
Drinking ganga jal is absolutely safe for all, just ensure the source from where it is taken....

Another option could be u can put it in pureit water filters, if you want to give it to children on regular basis.
