Recipe for Pancakes!

Hey All,

I need a simple recipe of pancakes which can be given to toddlers with honey or maple syrup.

Also, instead of using maida, can we use Atta or any mixture like maida -oats etc to make it a more healthier option?

Hi,

Here's it:

 Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups milk

2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation:

· Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
· In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and 1 1/2 cups of milk
· Add to flour mixture, stirring only until smooth.
· Blend in melted butter. If the batter seems too thick to pour, add a little more milk.
· Cook on a hot, greased griddle, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake.
· Cook until bubbly, a little dry around the edges, and lightly browned on the bottom; turn and brown the other side.

I usually use atta instead of all-purpose flour and it tastes fine...Yeah I think you can add oats powder in it but have never tried it...you can also add grated almonds and cashew etc to make it more healthy and nutritive.

Hi,

I used to use a combination of Atta and Maida...but then I bought this Pillsburry Pancake mix which is available in both egg and eggless options....it is really yummy and an instant thing...

You can try it and save your time buying and mixing different ingredients
