Hi,

Thanks for such wonderful information about the various places in the North. Indeed, India has a huge wealth of natural beauty and I really do hope that our people and our governments do something to preserve the beauty of this land and our rich heritage.

Hey,

Has anyone been to Lansdowne? It's a very beautiful small hill station in Uttarakhand...Basically it is the cantt area of Pauri Garhwal region...O that is soooo beautiful and a must visit......

From Noida or meerut, it is some 2-3 hours ahead.

You have some very beautiful plaes to see nearby too like the Bhairav Ghati and Tarkeshwar Temple ( It's a very serene Shiva temple, the only patch of this temple has rain forest trees rest all are normal trees which shed and grow according to the weather, a must visit for sure, there is some story behind this particular portion of land)

Then you can see snow clad mountains etc at various sunset points....awsome!

Hello,

I know most of you might have visited JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK.....but very few of us stay in the interiors of the jungle near dhikala gate...there is just one resort and that too of the govt...that has very few rooms.

Its very amazing experience with no tvs, no phones, electricity just in the resort and the whole resort covered with fences. The resort is overlooking the Ram ganga river which is considered to be the heart of the jungle.
Early morning you see Elephants and deers come and take a bath, with loads and loads of birds.
We were lucky to even spot tiger in the river.

Its an amazing experience and a must see one too.

Do try to visit corbett again and plan to do the bookings in advance.
