Photography Contest for August 2012 - Theme - Independence

Hi All,

Let me at first wish all a Happy Independence Day.

We should be really proud to be born in this country, a nation which gave birth to charismatic leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, B R Ambedkar and Subhash Chandra Bose. It's our duty to pay homage to all those who have laid down their lives to make the country free from previously foreign dominance now with Politians and corrupted people. So lets Support people like Anna and Baba Ramdev who are atleast trying to get rid of troubles and possible thinking of new free morning.

 

Here's my entry for the "Photography Contest for August 2012 - I have selected the concept of 'Liberty' as many of us have already posted pictures on Independence and Freedom.

This snap was taken during our family day function (husband'd office) held at a Beach resort. After the Tsunami i really feel childrens are not suppose to play alone freely as parents always have the tension of after tsunami effect in those areas. But now when i see the childrens faces i can feel the meaning of Liberty, enjoying their time in the sea shore without parents suppression.

I think from a children perspective this is the meaning of 'Liberty' !!

Hi I hope I am not to late to post my pictures for the competition.
Well My idea of freedom is quite simple when all boundaries & barriers disappear we experience the freedom to be ourselves.

For me independence means freedom of being able to open the door of opportunities along with my child. So that I do not rely upon any support system or compromise on my kid's childhood and still be able to handle my career and open the door of any opportunity

This was a shot on my trip in Cruise. Many things attracted my camera lens during the journey.

Amongst them, I was really impressed to see the birds around. Couple of things shook me : Their Freedom and Ambitions. When she passed by me, she blew a breeze and took me along with her by freeing me from my thoughts. She took me higher and higher to show that Sky is the limit and go on happily to achieve it..
