I am newly wedded home maker and i belong to a joint family. I have a small issue which have been facing as a new member is: have to join work in about two weeks and i dunno how will i manage the kitchen. There is no one to help hence washing utensil is a big problem. The maid is also very irregular. Heard from a friend about dish washer. Will it be a good investment?

    hi ritika,

I am not sure if dishwsher is a good option for indian vessels.
I would advice you to do the vessels before you go tobed so that it saves a gr8 deal of time in the morning.

If you use a lot of crockery and glassware to serve then dishwasher is good. Also all members can be encouraged to put their plates, etc in the dishwasher instead of the sink after running it through water.
Try to finish dishes before u go to bed and ask for help from everybody. Don't try to do everything ur self. Washing machine and dishwasher are handy when maids take leave.

Is a smaller version of a dishwasher available, since I have a space constraint?
