    Hi all,

My daughter is 13 month old. She was sufferin from cold for more than a month due to frequent travel. ( tats wat doc told) V tried antibiotics but only half relief, again travel aggrevated her cold. Doc advised giving PEdimune for immunity and am not giving antibiotics now. Jus a anticold syrup.

Now she is suffering from Constipation, her stool is hard and she is pooping only once a day. Doc advised 5g of pedimune in 100ml off milk. But she doesnt drink milk other than mine, so I mixed about 1g in nearly 50ml of milk + water.

    Any Suggestions pls?

    Thanks ! \
    Karthi

Hi, you can add a tea spoon of flaxseed powder mix in her food. It gives great relief to my child. You can also give barley drink. Flaxseed only can be given to child more than 1 year old.

    hi,

my baby 13 months old suffers from her bout of constipation too.
she goes 2-3 days without poop , but manages to poop on her own . i tried glycerin suppositories few times.
otherwise i mix 5ml of duphalac ( lactose solution ) in her water or milk ( can be given directly but she wont take it ) it makes the stoll softer and def. helps .
The doc says its normal and not to give her anything else as she may get used to laxatives for pooping.
if she eats sugar then a lil bit of sugar in her juice or plain old sugar syrup will do the trick too.
    hope it helps.

I never tried these fruits for my kid. Let me see if this can work. Hope she is ready to eat it. The only problem with these kids is eating. We have to run behind them and still fail to fill their tummy. Anyway, this is interesting and useful info.
