Games and time pass for 2 years and 9 months toddler ?

Hi,

I am mother of a 2yrs 9 months old son, he was born in USA and grow up in india till his 2nd birthday, so from last one year he is here with me and his dad.

He very bored so from last one year we were buying him new toys when ever we go to malls, so recently we realized we are doing big mistake, we were bringing him all similar kind of toys, buttons, music and lights.

can some list or post some image links of toys or any children activities in USA ? he is not been with any other kids from last one year, we are scared that he might not mingle with other kids so easily.

few tips from me.

-take him to local library where he will interact with other kids
-enroll him in a half-day preschool/daycare
-at this age, toys alone wont do the trick..make sure you spend enough time with him yourself like coloring, story books, drawing with chalk on the sidewalk, etc.
