different shapes and sizes...if you mean shredding, slices then it is fine..food processor does more than that.

i think cusinart has been recommended in il many times..

i personally love braun..and recently i saw one from bosch that was equally good..

    Shanvy,
Thanks for info. How much braun costs? I think Bosch should be branded one but expensive.

i got kitchen aid for $100 from ebay. The Quality is excellent.
I personally feel it's just waste of money if you own a indian mixer and grinder. I was over obsessed about owning one and bought it.
I feel it's a honest mistake on my side.
I bought a 12 cup. you can buy 7 cup. that would be more apt.

    Hi Anitha,

I got 7 cup Cuisinart for 60$ at Kohl's with free shipping during thanksgiving... I make doughs for rotis, cookies...cutting and shredding of veggies and also make sauces and dips in my fp.. comes very handy.. one thing I hate is cleaning the fp.. takes much effort to clean the groves of the lid... other than that it is worth for the money spent..

I got 7 Cup Cuisinart for $75 in deals2buy.com 5 yrs back. I personally liked it very much.
I use them to make dough for Chappathis, Puris. To make ginger -garlic paste, to cut, slice , grate veggies, spinach's french -cut beans.
Grind dough for vadai, Adai, etc., I like this as I can grind with only enough water I need.

And I will load them in DW for cleaning.
I have been using this for almost 5 yrs. And I enjoying till today.
