I have no idea. You should be discussing this with a doctor.

    Dear Neha,

PCO is getting quite common among ladies of child bearing age. you can post all ur issues with regard to the same and have a discussion with your doctor.

even iam been diagnosed with PCO last month , but iam not on any formof tablets currently as my gync asked me to wait for 2 more months to check on the existance of hormonal imbalance. iam been married for 5 years and got a daughter of 3 years old. and i wan't discoverd of PCO during my first delivery but second time when i got conceived after a span of 2 years i had bleeding bcoz of which i was forced to abort. pls do not worry, you can very well stay healthy and maintain ur hormanal imbalance by having a healthy diet, routine exercise etc.,

Once you are through with ur normal activities you can very well have a healthy baby.

    Good Luck.......

    Cheers
    Ramya

    Hi Sammy,

There is an ayurvedic medicine HYPONIDD which is given for PCOS.But you cannot stop your general medication.I think your Doctor must have prescribed Metformin Tablets for you.If yes, then continue that and ask your Gynec about Taking Hyponidd.

Hyponidd is not the cure for PCOS,it is only an additional Tablet to control your sugar levels. The only medicine for PCOS is METFORMIN and has to be taken regularly. You will see a change in a month.

    Hi Sammy,

If you have been taking metformin and still no improvement, then your dosage has to be changed.Go to a good fertility specialist and get your 2 HOUR IRT checked.Depending on your glucose levels ,the metformin dosage is adjusted.

    Re: irregular periods please help

    Hi,

Even i had a miscarriage during my first pregnancy and was diagnosed PCOD.....PCOD ( poly cystic ovarian disease) is a very common disorder caused by harmonal imbalance in the body...........you can see the symptoms being over weight..........increased pain in the breast..........black colouration in the back of the neck............unwanted growth of hair in your face and upper lips..............excessive discharge of white before your periods.............i gained weight around 20 kgs after my miscarriage and it was due to PCOD..........there is nothing to worry and the doctor advised me pills.......which is generally anti-diabetic tablets..........that cures PCOD and automatically the weight reduces.............

Diet restriction should also be there and take nutritional food...................

PCOD is very common in Indian women and one in 10 women in india has PCOD.....

Remember that it is only a disorder and not a disease.............

    luv

    Re: irregular periods please help

Does everybody having irregular periods be termed as PCOS. I am also in similar state. Last year due to some necessary reasons for immigration ,i had to have a check up done and after hearing me say irregular periods doctor said i might be having pcos. I do have irregular periods when in stress. Why do they advise anti diabetic pills for this condition. I am trying to get some information before i do visit a doctor .Any inputs.

Re: Painful Menstrual Cramps: Need remedies!

one thing i shud tell from my own personal experience, avoid pain killers as much as possible. i have a very low tolerance for pain and everytime i had headache or menses pain, i wud take painkiller so much so that when labour pains started i cud not tolerate it and they had to do c-section.
so try to endure the pain as much as possible. home remedies are good but not pain killers - yes of course sometimes when there is no other possibility u have to take it.
