Hi All, I just saw the forum, wow thats interesting. Let me introduce myself to all of you. I am Sonia and recently shifted to UAE from Mumbai. Have settled though. My today's menu is : Lapsi Rice, Chana Pithla, Pumkin subzi and Beetroot salad.
hi my menu for today bfast: had a very heavy b fast of paneer prantha with mango milk shake. lunch: cluster bean subji with curd and roti dinner: dont feel like cooking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today menu Breakfast: dosa, tomato onion chutney, coffee Lunch: tomato rice, brinjal fry, curd rice Dinner: chapathi, veg kuruma
Breakfast - Upma & coconut chutney Lunch - Chapathi, egg burji, cauliflower kurma (I forgot who gave this veg kurma recipe here; I followed the same recipe and it came out so well)
basmati rice-1.5cups ( sometimes i use jeerakasala/kaima rice, actually use these for ghee rice) carrot-1 cauliflower-1/2 of one green peas-1/2cup beans -1/2 cup chopped finely tomato-2 medium onion-1 mesium + i medium (sliced for frying) ginger garlic green chilly paste (2-3 green chillies)-3tsp garam masala-1/2 tsp corriander leaves, mint leaves curd- 2-3 tsp ghee-2-3 tbsp( can use oil partly) lime juice-1tsp cashew/raisins-2tsp each...... raw masalas- cardamom-4, cinnomon- 1" , star anise -1, cloves -4, bay leaf-1, mace blades-1/2. pine apple essence or pineapple pieces- Fry onion till it is transperant, add the raw masala add the garlic-ginger -green chilli paste and saute til its raw smell disappears.... add the vegetables and fry for a couple of minutes add tomatoes also the garam masala powder, & curd..... add the soaked rice at this stage and fry till the rice is transparent , add about 2 &3/4 cup of water, 2-3 pieces of pineapple (optional)/pineapple essece few drops and salt.... cook till the rice is tender and 3/4th cooked, fry the onion /cashew nut/ raisins until golden brown and add these to the rice, also chopped corriander mint leaves...... close the lid and steam it for another 3-4 mts...... (enjoy it with mint leaves/ corrinder/ ginger garlic green chilly coconut chutney )
