    I have a longing, a dream, a goal and a vision

To mate the depths of your being with those of mine

To bury my heart in the majesty of your feminine charm

To lose myself in the folds of your dress

To fuse my body, soul and heart with yours

To give up my identity in the altar of our love

To kill my ego to make it as an offering for you

To reach the innermost parts of you

And live there till the end of time

    Dear Sridhar,

The poem is quite intense - the feeling expressed very poetically. But for one weak line where you talk about 'folds of dress'. From heights of ecstasy you brought it down. I wish you had said something there as powerful as the rest of the poem. I wish the 'poet' in you all the very best. The touch of sufi-ism is very nice...keep versifying your thoughts..kudos !

    best regards,ambika

    Dear Ambika,
thanks for coming in. I deliberately included that line to say that the love I am talking about is not mere allegory. People have started interpreting my poem as the union of God and the devotee and so on. well, that was for the earlier poem. So I just added that line to make it down to earth.
    This is the earlier poem

when you have time just have a look. It's smaller.
And thanks for the kind wishes.
    love,
    sridhar
