    Chai masala is a refresher!!

I use Kamala orange or sathukudi.

Now lettuce is available in many shops, but not from road side vendors!!

    dearest chitramma

here is my list since I posted last

    1. chinese sweet and sour vegetables - I have done this a while ago.. this was our dinner yesterday.. I added a whole bunch of veges - the blanch technique is a great tip to retain the crunch and also quickly cook without adding too much oil .. made plain boiled rice noodles and tofu on the side. very yummy and filling too. with the left over noodles made lime sevai for lunch.

    2. i think i forgot to tell how my prep was very useful last week - around the midweek (when our energy is at an all time low) I had to suddenly rustle up something for the kids (not too filling bcoz they had to go play tennis right after eating, but healthy so cant be a junky snack) .. so took the frozen gravy, boiled peas, paneer all out of the freezer dumped them together and boiled for 5 mins. super duper mutter paneer ready .. they had with bread and then after coming back from play they had curd rice. thx for the special tips that make our lives so easy

    3. cauliflower paratha - one of the easiest and tastiest .. fp makes the chopping all the more easier.

    thx and luvs
    shyamals.

    Dear C,

I made beetroot chops for dinner last night. Took very less time and was very tasty, good way of making beetroot haters eat the veggie :) For breakfast this morning I made sabudhana khichadi, I loved the taste and it was less messy as I made in MW :)

    Thanks for all FBs!!
The first dish is the easiest veggie prepn!!
I am glad you are making use of the frozen gravy technique!!
By mincing cauliflower you lessen the chances of the veg coming out of stuffed paratha as well!

    Dearest Chith,

Feasted on a lot of items from your treasure trove.

    1. Rajasthani Ram Kichdi + Bhuvaneshwari Appalam + katti thayir - TOPs everything
    2. Jiffy Kanchipuram idli - slrrppp
    3. Green Tomato thokku with the tomatillos + keerai mulagootal - licking back of the fingers
    4. Today's special - Nombu Adai with Ragi flour, followed your recipe exactly except that I substituted Rice with Ragi flour, kutti M declared it was "idli" looking like monster :), but yummy yummy taste.

    Thanks sooo much!
    Love
    Vidya

You have almost become an ambassador for B appalam :):thumbsup
The mention of monster by M made me laugh!! :rotfl:rotfl
Let her not think that I give recipes for edible monsters too!
Now that the kids are growing up, you seem to find time to visit our cookery forum often! May this trend continue :)

    Dear C,

I was inspired by Magee's picture and made KRK for dinner last night. It was ready very soon and we throughly enjoyed it even without a chutney. Hot hot khichadi with ghee topping was awesome. I made vangi bath for lunch with remaining vangi bath powder for lunch. It was lip smacking ore kallu 2 mangoes :)
