    Hi,
I can understand your anxiety....its every mom's wish to breast feed her baby....Actually, to produce milk, there are certain natural medicines in ayurveda...you can try those...also...i'm sure if you consult with your grand parents or elders in the family, they can help you with some home remedies.... main thing is don't get tensed...relax yourself and have faith in God...everything will be fine....

Congratulations momofcuty. And sorry about your first loss. But I'd say the same as what pournamikishor said.
Don't get too tensed and stressed. As for regular food remedies I've seen my friends do these:
White bread, oats and garlic can help you produce milk better.
White bread you can buy and eat as it is.
Oats - you can have it as poridge.
Garlic - boil a couple of cloves in half cup milk and drink it together.
Am sure everything will turn out fine. Take care and wish you a safe delivery and a lovely life with your little one. :) God Bless.

    Hi momofcuty

if you are in Chennai, for breast milk production you can eat betel leaves, chunnambu (slaked lime), paaku (betel nut) daily in the afternoon after lunch, you should not take in morning or night. if after delivery also you can take but after 11 or 21 days. really it will increase milk production as advised by my grandma.

From 3rd or 4th month, you can take only one rava ladoo (made with milk and ghee) a day. it will also increase milk production

Momofcuty I was in the same situation as yours. I could not feed my first baby as I had severe pain in the breast and cracks due to baby not latching properly. This time with my second I am planning to consult lactation specialist and at any cost I want to breast feed. Dont give up. I have written down a list of things from other posts to increase breast milk I will mention them to you here.
1)As everyone said its better not to be tensed. I was having postpartum depression thinking all of sudden so much responsibility to raise kid and I used to be tensed for simple reason and that might also be a reason for not producing enough milk. One of my friend she is very very cool with her second baby and I heard she have so much milk production her freezer is full of milk storage.
2)I heard in India you get ayurvedic capsules named Shatavari Kalpa.
3)Fenugreek seed capsules thrice a day
    4)Jeera
    5)Oatmeal(porridge)
    6)Drink warm milk before feeding.
7)Tips from all the above posts.
Formula feeding I had several issues my child used to be constipated always and cry with colic cannot sleep long hours. More efforts are involved in mixing formulas and feeding, cleaning bottles. Breastfeeding is a lot easier even at nights and baby can digest them well.
I am praying to god let all of us have the strength and be relaxed and feed our babies well. Happy pregnancy and good luck.

    Dear op,
    Congrats on your pregnancy:)
Others have given you super tips to increase breast milk.

If you happen to feed formula,i would suggest you to choose a good brand feeding bottle, bottle cleanser and a good electric or oven sterilizer. There are bottles come with bpa free and colic free.

Hey now there are lactaion consultants you may ask your gynea for refernce.

1.You can take capsule called "LACTARE" iven by my dr. It has fenugreek which is very good for milk prodcution.
    2.Shatavari kalp in milk.
3.Khus khus(Poppy seed soaked in warm water) then boil in milk.
4.Soak methi(Fenugreek seeds) grind and make coase, then can add some Whole wheat flour and make like dry curry.
5.Eat more wheat like Chapati,Whole wheat bread,Buck wheat upma(coarse wheat powder)
6.More over relax and enjoy motherhood and pray well....stree may reduce milk procution.
7.Lastly borrow or buy breast pump and try to express so that you will will get milk output. Hope it helps.

    CONGRATULATIONS MOMOFCUTY.

My two children were c-section too. and lactation was a problem. I live in Canada, I was advised to drink beer a cup a day - apparently the yeast increases lactation. Also, Palmyrah vellam பனங் கட்டி was suggested too. I was very hesitant towards beer but, the latter did help me miraculously, both times. If you are a non vegetarian baby shark சுறா வறை helps a great deal.

By the way, don't stress yourself as stress tightens your muscles and reduces milk production. Listen to some soothing music and read something to calm yourself down.

GOOD LUCK. I am sure everything will be fine.

    Priya
