This might not be the correct forum to post this question in, so moderator, if you feel this belongs elsewhere, please feel free to move it :cheers

What is horseradish called in Tamil? I saw on the internet that is is called "murungai" or drumstick. But one of my American friends said that it has a sharp and a pungent taste. So I am wondering if it really is murungakkai!

Horse radish is not murungai or drumstick. it is more a variety of mullangi and your friend is right it does have sharp pungent spice taste to it
