hi, I am staying in london as well in ealing since last 5 months. but my life is simply becoming miserable day by day .. i have no one to talk to... please let me know if anyone is interested in becoming friends
Hi Nidhi: Welcome to Indusladies! Hmmm... most of us go through this phase you are going through when we start a new life in a new place. That is until you make a few acquaintances, some of which will blossom into lovely friendships. If I look back as to what I would do if I were new in the UK (as it was 5 years ago) now - I would go out more often and enjoy their parks, the walking /cycling paths and most of all the local libraries. Window shop at their garden nurseries until my feet drop off Maybe even take a couple of classes at their local community centre /college. Visit the local museums on my own. Oh, looks like my list is never ending.............. Hope you make a few friends soon. Go out and enjoy yourself. Take care. Sindhu

hello sindhu, i am sirisha from reading uk. we will be shifting to milton keynes tomorrow. ccould you let me know about the grocery stores in milton keynes central. primary schools and surgery etc.., i will be staying near debenhams. i believe that area is town centre. thankyou verymuch
Hi Sirisha: Good to hear from a MKite. I lived in Emerson Valley, so most of my knowledge is limited to the areas close-by. Groceries - There is a small market in the open area (in the centre) of the MK Mall - you can find Asian vegetables and to some extent some groceries. Bazaar foods at Wymbush (3-4 miles from Central) is a good place for indian groceries (vegetables and the others). Surgery - no clue Schools - Not sure the closest school close to Central, However, I do know that Two Mile Ash school is pretty good. But the school is at some distance from the centre, so I am not sure if it is a good suggestion. Enjoy your stay at MK. Bye Sindhu
