Mami....I suddenly changed my plans for ladoo...Instead I made Asoka halwa :-D. Oh yes, the Mysore pak was a bit tricky. As soon as the honeycomb texture came, I transferred it to a greased plate..and there was a little more than what that plate could hold and so put the last little amount in another kutti plate (I had it greased and ready). The one that was in kutti plate was more porous . I guess it was due to the few extra seconds in the hot pan. I loved that :biggrin2:. Seeking your blessings...and wishes to all for Diwali. Thanks. Bye
Dear All, Wish you all a very Happy Deepavali!!!! Chithumma, Made the pressure cooker Wheat halwa. It came out so good, although not like the typical tirunelveli wheat halwa, for the amount of work taht goes into the making of it, its very good. Now this has made me crave for the real one!! I am having elbow tendinitis so cant kilari a lot so have to wait some more time to do that. planning to make mullu murukku today and baklava. will come back with fb. Roja, That was a wonderful feedback, it was so touching to read that. Very glad you found chithumma's treasure trove to help you achieve this.. Aparna
Dear NS, I think you missed this post.I want to wish you and all the members here a very Happy Diwali.
It is not pretty looking; neither has perfect shape; nor is photo-genic; yet my maiden "butter badhusha" stole our hearts and is a hit at home ) Thanks a lot for the recipe; more for the step by step procedure; without which I would have spend this entire Diwali craving for it rather than making it at home. Have a wonderful prosperous Diwali to you ; and all at home and in our forum Nitha
Saras, I guess you removed it a few secs earlier!! ThatsOK. So you got both soft pa & porous paks! All the best.
Dear Apar, Your halwa photo is earning you alot of accolades in FB!! :thumbsup I am very happy Whether you have tendenitis or not, kilaring is a tough job & you do need a second hand!! With phylo pastry available, bhaklava should be a breeze!
Chitra, Iam so sorry to have missed out on your post!! I am aware of your sweet nature & always do think of you!! Thanks for the FB. Happy Diwali !!
