    Dear nlrs....

I believe your baby is just 2 months old(i read your other thread about baby not sleeping at nights)....basically at this stage, anything(formula) other than mother's milk would be dificult for the baby to digest....so i believe you can reduce the amount of formula that you are giving per day....or you can dilute the formula more....
May i please know the reason for starting formula at 2 months because if you have some issues with BF/BM,our ladies her can help with some tips...thats why!!!!!
Looking at your Date of joining IL,i believe you are a very new person to IL...you can browse through the baby sections in IL to get some tips here....

did the doctor recommend Lactogen to your kid??? and have you informed him/her about this difficulty of your LO in passing motion??
in case you have issues with the suppply of BM,i believe you can consult a lactation specialist(in case you have not)....

Thanks swaran for replying.I dont have sufficient breast milk thats the reason we are giving formula to our baby.I am trying almost all the tips to increase breast milk, eating bread and milk daily, drinking more fluids, eating garlic etc.I am not happy giving formula but i dont have other option:(.

Yes doc told us to use lactogen first and now farex.doc gave me tablets for milk production i am using them.

Dear nlrs...its really good to know that you are trying so many techniques to increase your supply...hats off...keep trying and maintain the positivity in you....
actually i was jusat about to give the same suggestion as malar, try pumping once in 2 hours...either your LO should try to suck or you need to keep using a good breast pump to keep sucking...this would increase your milk supply....

All the very best....everything will become fine soon :)

I believe Farex is not available in market nowadays, may be they have withdrawn the product. Doc advised us to give Dexolac apart from BM and our LO is fine with it.

My gyn prescribed Lactare granules (to be taken with milk) which increased my milk supply when it started decreasing. It is a ayurvedic preparation, so no need to worry about drinking it. Please ask your Dr about this.

I know I m very late in replying but wanted to add my observation....I started ginving formula to DS as per doc. I used Nan 1. Later, I tried Lactogen too, butmy son hated it....Also, I observed that it gave him constipation (very thick stool, difficultto pass) so I changed back to Nan1.
