    Hi

We have moved in to Chennai a couple of months back.
My parents Shashtiyapthapoorthi is scheduled within another 2 months. Have been looking for a decent hall around T Nagar/Kodambakkam/Mylapore for about 60-80 people (Non AC will also do)
Also heard about community halls maintained by chennai Corporation. Has anyone tried any of them?
If you is aware of such places, please help !

    Thanks

Try the Padmaram Mahal (erstwhile Ram theatre) in Arcot Road, Kodambakkam. They have both the big and small halls. You can try the mini hall there. I have attended small functions of friends and relatives there. No idea about rent, but the place is nice and ample car park is also available. But the dining hall is a little bit smaller in size. But never mind, because you are expecting only about 80 people. The place is also accessible for all as it is near Vadapalani Junction.

    Hi
We had my ILs sashtiapthapoorthi in Vasantha mahal, saligramam road opp to Bigbazaar vadapalani. It costs 10,000 perday in 2008. Very decent. Bus stop is near( in the main road). Dining hall can accomodate nearly 50-60 people.
