    Dear ILItes,

Being in the forum 'Finest Posts of IL' is one of the nicest assignments that we have ever had. When work is fun and learning, it become uplifting. And uplifting, empowering are exactly the words that come to mind when we read the nominations posted by our dedicated members and finally decide on a winner. Month after month, we marvel at the thoughts, the convictions and the lessons that our writer members pose through their posts. Some posts unravel some of the mysteries of life relating it to simple childhood games and moments. And so, it gives us immense pleasure to announce the Finest Post of November:

Lock and Key of Life by Padmasowrirajan

Congrats! Padma. A very well deserved win!

Lock and Key of Life is a post that tells us about an innocent childhood game and its import on our lives when we venture into the real world of tensions and pretensions. A simple game that teaches us to save ourselves by locking ourselves into ourselves, and then being redeemed by a helping hand that releases us. And often, we are not just saved but have to save as well. Padma has connected play and philosophy with such felicity that it almost brings tears to our eyes.

And from there, she moves on to the art and science of parenting. When she recollects her wise mother who allowed her children to get dirty in order to teach them the fact that they can wash it off, Padma (and her mother) teach us one of the most valuable lessons ever. Actions are not to be judged just for themselves, but for the follow up that they can incur.

And the post goes on to talk about the benefits of playing in the great out-doors, the virtues of keeping our possessions safe. Padma starts some of her posts by the reflective calm of the ocean, as she has done in this post. And as she concludes, she says that ‘all life is a sea of learning’. And departs into a world which she acknowledges has more lessons to teach her.

We really cannot sum up such an impressive post, so once again :

    Congrats! Padmasowrirajan.

    regards
    Vidya24 & Kamla

    Dear friends,

Let me begin by congratulating Padmasowrirajan on an excellent post. And a special thank from the heart to all members who nominated posts. This forum has life only because you nominate. Some of you viist us every month without any special reminders. We are incredibly grateful to you. To all who nominated for the first time, thank you and come again. FP can survive only as long as you all breathe for her.

November was a month that saw many meaningful nominations. Some posts were repetedly nominated by many members much to our delight. The first of such posts is Pawprints in My Heart by Archana, daughter of Sriniketan. This writer shows much soul and promise and we are sure to hear about her and read her in future. The rules of IL accept only posts by registered ILites in this contest (as clarified by the IL administration). So we have to praise this piece from the heart and deem the writer an all time winner.

The Constant stare by Malspie, another writer making waves is also simple and succulent. A mundane, dusty scene of a local fast train, and Malspie has etched poetry. The little girl and her skills of selling and math stay with us long after we read this story. Malspie has ended the story with much honesty, just moving on. No drama, no lessons, morals- a piece so existentialist. One can never stop accepting such pieces into our heart and soul.

Two threads deserve special mention. Faces Behind the Names started by Mrs ChitVish knits our IL community into a closer purl. What is cooking in your kitchen this Diwali? by Sunkan connects our IL community by talking about our festival special menus. Two awesome threads that capture the essence of social networking.

Husband not talking and How do you say someone is a good or bad wife- these two are sets of replies and posts that strengthen our realationships. At once, analytical and emotional- these posts teach us how to cope with situations.

It was a joy ride for us this month. All nominations were priceless. And we look forward to more in December.

    regards
    Kamla & Vidya

    Dear IL'ites,

As Vidya mentioned, this FP forum is getting richer from selective nominations. We get to see worthy contributions by many gifted members and note many innovative threads being started by eminent members with philanthropic ideals. Though it is with much difficulty we chose only one as the winner of the month, it is our constant reminder to one and all that everyone who has been nominated is a winner...by default!!:clap

Wish you all a great weekend.

    Hi Padma,

    Heartiest Congratulations!!!

    Dear Vidya,

Thanks a ton for the special mention of my thread. It was a simple thread which walked in to the field of nomination.
I have no complains ever, as from the time I have entered IL, my threads always get a special mention.

    Thank you judges...
