Thanks for the FBs. For chopping keerai in FP, do you chop & then wash thoroughly?? Please let me know.
Dear Chitra Mam Today's breakfast was kalyana rava khichdi and coconut chutney. It was so soft and full of taste.Loved it... Thanks and love ammu
Dear Chithra, no no no washing after chopping. I first pick and then wash the keerai thrice or till no trace of soil is found in water, then drain it. I do it over night and the leaves are almost dry and then it is easier to chop in FP. One large bunch takes only 2 or 3 minutes. Even if it is wet, no problem, it chops well.I Wash the FP with a little water and use it for boiling the keerai. I made khara idli today as trial today as part of dinner. Myself and A liked it and I plan to make it tomorrow or day after for breakfast. I baked a loaf of white bread just now. It looks ok but has to see how it is in taste and texture tomorrow after slicing.
Dear Chitra Thanks for everything you do. I made kovakkai bhath. superb taste. had it with raitha and chips. Now my everyday paruppu rasam is from your mysore rasam powder only. Awesome . Also made veg. tava paratha. super easy and tasty too. Love Shobana
dearest aunty, for lunch it was paruppu thogaayal with chocho morekootu. it was yummy. one of my husbands colleague came over for lunch and after tasting morekootu he told me it tasted similar to his mom's. all compliments to you. also i made a few thattais on my husbands demand for a snack. i bought all readymade flours and then it was just patting and done in a jiffy. thanks to you... lovr, vini
Dear Chithra, the bread was not soft like last time, I was not able to check when it was proving yesterday and I was doubtful. But I can use it for bread upma or bread chana. Will try again till I perfect it. I made aloo paratha today for breakfast as A had to leave by 10.30 for his assignment. I felt that it will keep him full even for a late lunch. It was soft and even puffed up like puri on the roti aker. The roti maker is best for parathas, I swear.
Thanks, Shobana. Kovakkai bhaathis not common at all!! Veg tava paratha is an easy but wholesome recipe!! Whatever i do here is out of my love for you
Oh, thanks to you & your husbands colleague!! With a small baby, to make thattai on your husbands demand for a snack, I declare Vini, you are a pativrata :biggrin2:
