Re: ugc net english literature june 2010 Hai Abhi, First of all, all the best for ur preparations. I too have plans for writing NET exams. But yet i did nt decide about choosing the specialised area for the III paper. So later i ll catch you. Regds UVS
Hello Abhinayaa so how u have decided to start the preparation ? are u planning to apply for december net exam ? which books do are gud for going through "the history of eng lit"? i have noticed that in the objective type q we mostly get the questions based on different works of lit where they may ask about the characters or the writers or to arrange the works in the right chronological order .what do you think how can we prepare for this ?
Dear Nitu, Very sorry. I was busy to sit and browse. For history of english literature you can refer THE SHORT HISTORY OF ENGLISH LITERATURE by Edward Albert. Now itself I found time to reply. You can test your knowledge by testing the mock question papers through various guides i.e. Upkar guides, you can get them in any book stores. Dont believe in bazaar guides which will not give you authentic source of literature. So you can go to www.gutenberg.org . There you will get lots of ebooks. Get them in printed copies and start your preparation. As a housewife I have lots of house hold chores. I am very happy to have a active company like you. Please download the latest syllabus and try to prepare your own notes , but quickly. Because we cant study all the pin points of literature. But we can do it in the exam point of view. From today onwards we can start our first step towards success. All the best dear! Abinayaaa:coffee
Hello Abhinayaa which books are you are consulting for the exam and how much have you completed. i have seen the syllabus,it just covers everything even i get busy at times as i m also a housewife thats y bit worried to do the prep at a good pace. Nitu
Dear Nitu, I follow the books mentioned in the above post. Being a housewife, it is a very bitter experience to avail time to prepare for the exam. I resigned the lecturer job from a private institution for not finding time for preparation. But now the situation is too worse. Ok. it is not the greatest problem. But if we organise ourselves we can find more time. I have a plan. ---- why not we finish all the work before 10a.m. and start our preparation? But we have to take a mini-break. It should not exceed the limit. My husband also cleared CSIR. But he is unable to find time for me. And I too never expect his support at all. All the best dear, Abinayaaa:coffee
Hmmm nobody is here to join with me to prepare for the exam.......................................:bonk
