it was so reassuring to read ur post aqua...even i was getting scared abt labor after I started my ML (no work throughout the day u see )
i was getting scared sometimes...and immediately i wud feel bad/guilty that i'm scared....will feel like cant i do it for my LO....and sometimes i wud be totally charged up and want to hold my LO ASAP...days are really dragging....

and great to hear that u have made up ur mind and r strong...way to go :thumbsup

I went for my routine checkup y'day and discussed my concerns with my doc.
She was also very calm in listening to me and she told me she wants me to have a positive birthing experience. So if C-section is what I want - C-section it will be. HOWEVER, she also comforted me a lot by explaining how pain-killers would work..how (in a broad sense) the process would take place. She also answered all my foolish questions :bonk which made me so much more at ease. She told me if I could bear the period pains - this one would be just couple of levels more than that!! Also - the actual pushing only takes place in half n hour or so.. mostly. All in all - she tried hard to show me the labor perspective so I am willing to atleast give it a shot. And in the end if I don't feel like taking it - I can opt for a C-section right there. The whole thing made me so much more relaxed than earlier.
Then I spoke to my Mom (my BFF) and my younger sis individually. And shared the same thing that you all mentioned. We have come this far - this is the last leap. And my biggest turning point was - If I opt for an elective C-Section right away - I will never be able to experience the labor! Will never know how it feels. Will never be able to shout & scream on my DH and still be justified :biglaugh
So I just made up my mind before going to bed y'day that I will atleast go into labor naturally.. Will allow mother nature to take its course till I can tolerate the anxiety and above all just trust my doctor that she knows best for both me & my baby. I have all your prayers with me.. And my Mom, Sis & DH on my side. So am sure I can do it.

And Tanuja as you rightly reminded me - We should all hold up our heads high & walk into it with strength & passion for our cute little angels. :cheers

2.3 kgs weight at this stage is normal weight range for Indian babies
and its good news if ur baby is facing ur spine!! right position for birth :thumbsup

finally may has arrived....hope all d mommies and the babies are in good health...

my update:
last check up was on apr 26th (last tuesday)...doc told that everythng is fine and baby is coming into position...and my next appointment is on may 10th only...she told me that she does not expect me to get into labor anytime b4 that....

from last thursday i'm feeling a pricking/poking sensation in one side of my back...lasts for abt 30-40 secs...comes in an interval of 2-3 hrs in the morning...and abt once in 30-45 mins from evening...completely stops by around 2 o clk in the night....totally weird....follows d same routine everyday from thursday till now....called up d hospital...they told me i can go to d hospital anytime if d pain is not manageable...dunno wat to do...its not that intense but its surprising that braxton hicks/false pain can be in such a regular pattern for days:rotfl hope i'm able to identify the real labor pain...

i gav birth to a baby boy on may 1st at 4.30 pm!
this is the toughest phase of my lyf!
i have been in early labor frm 29th april n contractions were not dat painful but 5mnts apart n aftr takin warm water bath as advised by labor nurse on fone,contractions slowed down and were regular and a bit strong by 30th eveng..on 30th we went to hospital at 11 in the night,my contractions were regular but my cervix was still 1 cm dilated n i was given shot to relieve frm pain dat ni8 n i cud sleep dat ni8 with contractions in b/n..
next day on may 1st my contractions were so slose n regular by 10 am n wen we spoke to labor nurse she said i was still in active labor n until n unless im 4cm dilated they r not gonna admit me in hosptal..my husband was in dilemmo bcoz i was 1cm dilated bfore day n he wasnt sure dat i was in active labor dat day..mom n hubby dint listem 2 me..they made me take warm hot tub bath little xcercise n my mucous is lumps of blood with discharge.aftr then they decided to take me to hospital at 2.00pm..n i wasnt able to walk n called for mabulance..thank god they came in time and by the time i went to hospital it was almost 3pm n evryones is surprise seein me completely dilated n i wasnt given epidural.. n was taken labor n delivery n was askd to push,i was tired being in early labor for many hrs..i dint give up..i cud made it by 4.30 my litttle child is out relieving me frm all pains..hez jus 5 lbs n 30 ounces...!
i jus cudnt blve myslf dat i made it..!but frenz hav good food n take good care of urslf n hav awareness abt labor n delivary..u need tons of mental strength n physcal strngth durin labor n delivary..!

Hi all,

So all are in waiting mode and expecting to see the LO soon.

I just started 38th week today . Every week my doctor is going NST. Last week she did GBS test to check for bacteria infection. It turned out to be positive . Which means During labor they will give me antibiotics.

Also since I have diabetes and on insulin. They will not wait till my due date (may 25).
They are planning to induce pain 2 days before my due date if the pain does not come naturally.

I am just praying to god that labor pain comes naturally and not induced.

This Friday , my doctor is going to check if my cervix is dialated.

Will keep u all posted.

not to worry..!! everything will go on smoothly for u too...lucky has started the lucky mascot for us..without medication n natural birth...so we all will follow her..

i had my gynaec appt yest..she did an internal examination...told me that dilation has not started...but cervix seems soft..!!
everything else was normal...
2.3 kgs baby wt might go upto 3 kgs...since i stil ve 24 days to go...

All the best Gindus! Im sure you will go into natural labour only.. keep walking even if you feel discomforts, i have heard it will help in inducing labour naturally!

Nice to know ur doc is keeping track of you and your LO. My doc has not been doing NST or GBS :-( planning to ask her in my next visit.

About grading of placenta,u can check out this link
PLACENTA GRADING (GRANNUM CLASSIFICATION)
and about posterior lying i think that it means your placenta is to your back and thats good i think.. u can google this thing.
I think this would be useful.
