:) Hi nice to meet you all the first time .

One of the most important tip for me to keep my home clean is to GET UP EARLY.
I used to get up at 5:20am before my kids and husband gets up.
I will drink a glass of water and cleans all the room except bedroom.
For a house of 1000sqft, it will take hardly 20 minutes.
If the same work need to be done after 9 am it will take more than an hour.
Bedroom will be cleaned once all of them leaves home to office and school.
After that 20 mins morning cleaning exercise, I feel refreshed as if the whole day work is completed.

    Regards
    Susila

First take pleasure while cleaning, never consider it as a burden, secondly chalk out from where are you going to start as per thr time available to you on a particular day, giving time for un soilcited calls, people calling on you unannounced, servants taking french leave etc .

Then decide you are going to give it off or going to bundle and keep in the loft for deciding later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While doing so you might end up with some needs to repaired or altered, or exchanged so be ready for it. If you feel you have not touched certain things in the past 6- 10 months and you have done it without it, better dispose it rather than keeping them.

Be specific what you are doing or write in a diary and let your family members also decide and help you in your decision.
Your actions should signal them that you are not anyway going to be a part of cluttering the house and let this message be passed on clearly.
At the end of the day think and go back to find pout how much you could do to de clutter the house to lokk better.

Hi Pavithra, Nice to meet you here. This is a meaningful thread to us ladies:)

Hello to Everyone here who have commented. I have one question though

Do any of you assign chores to your children? They are good helpers with little tasks and it frees us to do some other major stuff which needs more attention. Also, don't forget to reward them appropriately. Lovingly train your kids to help with house work which will be an asset to you later in life, eg. when you fall sick etc. Hope I did not divert this thread. That's not my intention.

Mom2499: Welcome to this thread. Thank you for the inputs
Yes infact I do. Not an assignment but make my three year old a part of everyday work like asking him to load the washing machine, asking him to water the plants, have recently taught him to hang his own clothes in the hanger
