    as the dosai maavu was made today,i started pondering over ur recipe index for an interesting side dish...and the one tht struck me this time was the KARAKUZHAMBU...it was just awesome...as the maavu was not fermented and amma had made kal dosais the KK was just a perfect combi to the dosa....both of them complimented each other very well..:thumbsup.....unga punniyathula had a really nice tiffin....

    Dear Mrs.Chitra,

    I made Handvo today . It came out very well. Here in US we get ready-made handvo flour and my gujrati friend makes it and I have tasted it. Believe me, this recipe made from scratch gives more flavor and taste to the dish. I personally feel that this is a healthier version of our adai. I soaked and grinded yesterday and left it to ferment and baked it in the morning. I baked it in a 400 deg oven for 40 minutes. It is so delicious.

    Probably the first ever FB for handvo !
    Somebody asked for it long time back, but that person logs in nomore.
    Yes, it is very similar to adai. The gujarathis make it in "kari aduppu" !

    Just now finished making the yummy MW Coconut Burfi, it turned out fine. The MW timings you have mentioned was perfect. I could cut them into pieces with out any waste. Thanks for sharing a wondeful, tasty and jiffy sweet.
