time between engagement and wedding...

Hi Huma,
You really brought my memories back.
I got married only after 2 years of engagement. In the meantime my hubby used to come to our house and talk to me. We didn't go outside anywhere. As we did not have any telephone facility at that time, in our house, he used come in person and talk to me.
Later he left for US and got the green card and came only the day before marriage.
Then after marriage I joined him 2 years later.
How is that?

me & my hubby gt married within a montha after engagement!:-D We hardly had only 4 weeks to spend. In that 4 weeks also we spent only 2 weeks. One week went in deepavali where he got to go to his mom's place (different state) and one week jus flied in marriage shopping...such a swift marriage ours is!!!

Nice topic..i got engaged on sep3th and married on Nov1st...but our match was fixed in July itself..So we got enough time to chat and understand each other right from our favourite foods in phone...

Once he came with his parents to home for keeping our engagement invitation, presented me a imported watch which he bought in U.S before they started seeing a bridal for him to give in future for his wife.Thats gr8 isn't it?

The past is not too behind...
He used to call me all the time and pampered me..He sent me gifts on Valentine's day, birthday ...We were so used on phone for six months, that when he landed in the airport 2 days before the wedding, we looked at each other like strangers and it appeared like it was the phone pal we were in love with.
It took a while to accept the physical presence...
Great memories !!!

this is a really nice thread..i myself have been engaged from past above 15 months.& still not married.he came to India for his vocations just for 3 weeks.the second week we met & in the third week got engaged..that was so quick.the day before he had to leave, his family came to our place & when he was about to go,tears came rolling down my cheeks.he couldn't control his feelings at well & passionately hugged & kissed my cheek..but after he left, first 12 months we used to chat daily for 4-5 hours..but now he's bit busy with his job & studies so we chat on saturday & sunday..& this courtship period is so very interesting & loving that we both are dying to see each other again..it doesn't seem to be an arranged marriage anymore..he has told all his friends that its our love marriage..
hope, the date will finalize soon & i'll be with him forever..
