application forms for school admissions 2011-2012

Arsha Vidya Mandir- Application forms available from the 15th Jan

Hi,

I noticed that the application forms for AVM would be available for PP II- XII from the 15th Jan.

I don't remember seeing application forms for PP-I. Couple of weeks ago they had it for the kindergarten.

What does PP II stand for? Is that Standard 2?

I called sunshine and came to know that they absolutely have no vacancy for 2011-2012. That was my hope for my kids. Now I am very much worried. I have applied for Arsha vidha mandir and waiting for a response.

Thanks Lakshmi for the information about AVM application. I am in USA and moving to chennai in may. I was hoping to get admission in Sunshine and now when I called they said they do not have any vacancy.

AVM is asking for language and marks details in the application which we do not get here in US schools.

Any other good CBSE / ICSE schools in velachery? pl help. I am worried. thanks.

PP-II stands for Pre-primary II i.e UKG.

Hi ss2009,

DAV Adambakkam , Modern higher secondary Madipakkam are other good CBSE schools (they are in and around velachery, so I thought it might interest you. I am not sure about the admission procedures of these schools. You can check out their websites.
There is DAV public school near velachery bus terminus and this is also a CBSE school.

Thanks. It is a bit surprising that different terminologies are used and that confused me.

I noticed that the application for AVM is available today and i have started filling up the same. It is so much easier to work with the online system.

Keeping fingers crossed to see how things will work in the week of 15th Feb!

Hi,

Applied for AVM and will have to wait till 22nd Feb to see what the response is.

Don't have any clues on when the entrance exams are likely to be. Hopefully they give us at least 2 weeks notice.

Also does anyone have ideas on entrance exam dates for Chettinaad Vidyashram?

Hi Lakshmi,

I am also waiting to know the entrance dates for Chettinad Vidhyashram. From the happenings till last year looks like they will have it in the last week of March after the annual exams.
