6th Apsara Awards 2011

The 6th APSARA AWARDS 2011 were swept over by Salman Khan’s Dabangg (not a surprise)! It bagged as many as 8 awards!! “Band Baaja Baaraat” came a close second with 6 awards and “Guzaarish” finished 3rd by grabbing 5 awards.:thumbsup

Sallu won the Best Actor and Sonakshi Sinha won the Best Debut Female for Dabangg. Sonu Sood won the Best Actor in a Negative Role, singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan bagged the Best Male Playback Singer for the song Tere Mast Mast Do Nain and music composer duo Sajid-Wajid won the Best Music award, all for “Dabangg”.:cheers

Vidya Balan (Ishqiya) and Anushka Sharma (Band Baaja Baaraat) shared the Best Actress award:bowdown. I thought that was a very good decision.:thumbsup

SRK had only one release last year and still he grabbed an award...and that too some award for namesake......:bonk

Katrina too in 2009 had many films but most of which were below average and the result being no awards.But in filmfare award function that year Kat was signed up for a performance and 80% of the amount was already paid out to her,after the awards were announced and she was not the winner she refused to perform unless she too is given an award.So she was given the "Best Entertainer of the year" - Female :rotfl:rotflso the jury has already given her that award this year to avoid her tantrums :hide:
