My all-time favorite Bollywood movie is Mughal-e-Azam. I love everything about this movie. This 1960 epic film fascinates me and intrigues me to the extreme. The expression “Mughal –e-Azam” means “the Greatest of the Mughals”. This movie was directed by K. Asif. It was produced under the banner of Sterling Investment Corp Pvt. Ltd. which was a firm owned by Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry. (A few years back, I visited the office of Shapoorji Pallonji on behalf of the automobile company for whom I worked and I found huge posters of Mughal-e-Azam in the lobbies.) According to Bollywood history, this movie is one of the biggests box office successes in Indian cinema.
Dear friends, My all-time favorite Bollywood movie is Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. There is a magic in this film that refuses to let this film grow old. Somehow, years go by, but I do not outgrow the magic of DDLJ. It is a love story which is very close to my heart. The chemistry between Shah Rukh and Kajol was awesome and the songs are evergreen. It is a favorite of many of my peers – all of you talking about DDLJ in the beginning of this thread, bears testimony to that fact. Whenever I think about DDLJ, my mind is filled with light and color. :thumbsup
