    Dear Mohana,
Thank u for ur immediate response. I am so sorry to say my husband doesn't like jaggery used items. Is it a must that we should add Jaggery for puliyodarai? Don't mistake me, i am not all that very expert in cooking like u all people.

I am from South India, chennai. So i want the traditional receipe for tamarind rice with all measurements:-(. Please can u help me.

    Love,
    Padmaja Edwin.

    Dear Padmaja,
    Please go to
    Pulikachal
Either this link or what Mohana gave is OK. In any recipe with tamarind, jaggery can be omitted. It is given only to highlight the general taste & not for sweetness. You can safely omit it.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Hello chitra mam,

First hats off to u for your very useful and wonderful contributions to this forum.:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

Am new to this forum. Though my marriage is 10months old am new to kitchen and cooking, as me & my hubby are alone here at US. Previously when we were in India I was also going for a job and couldn't cook tasty foods for my hybby. But now am a full time homemaker and want to cook a lot for him...!!! And tried some of your recipes, they turned out very tasty. The most we liked was the "Vegetable Cutlet". Even i dont believe that slowly am becoming a good cook????!!!:rotfl

Now am looking for an evening snacks which is healthy and contains nutritions. Can you pl suggest some of the recipes ?

    Warm regards:thankyou2:
