Hi All,....back after a long time....nowadays i am having a special liking towards readymade sarees...my neighbour bought one recently from chickpet, bangalore and it looked so cute...they had given 2 blouses i mean one stiched with work on it and the other a plain shimmer kind of....she said it costs around 4500Rs...the same saree i saw in the place near my house and he said the starting rate is 7K...i was shocked.it was the same saree but the difference is 3500 between chickpet and city..

    (1) Is the saree so costly...
(2)anyone bought this kind of saree?...your feedback on this please

    hi swarna,

noticed this thread only today, a good thread for saree lovers.

by readymade saree, did you mean the ones for which the frills are already stiched and two blouses are given ,one with lot of work done and the other plain.

if that is the saree you meant , then 7k is too much for that i feel unless the material used is something like pure silk etc.

i have seen this kind a saree in 3500-4000range, one of my cousins bought it for 3000, the material was semi georgette or something she said.

now coming to my liking i like anything cotten especially those rajastani supernet cotton sarees( the better version of kota sarees) , have some with me and always wanted more of them.

my latest craze is for those bandhini pure silk sarees with lot of work done on that which someone had already mentioned , i saw these sarees in a shop last year when i had gone to by saree for my marriage anniversery, liked them a lot but felt its too expensive. but still i am dreaming of owning that saree one day.....
