you mean in lunch box....i have tried...but it is horrible to eat when it is cold....but kids like it.........

You may try boiled potatoes , fried in littel bit if GHee and jeera.

Boiled Potatoes is a good idea. Potato is everybody's favorite.

I tried burger buns with cream cheese sandwich. It worked. My daughter loves it.

The main problem is, my daughter has a good appetite. But, it's always been like, I feed her or she has it a little warm. So, I wonder what she will eat cold in school and that too, when I am not feeding her. I also apply cream cheese in Chapati and roll it and cut into half. This works too. So, she can have 6 pieces which is 3 full chapatis.

She can have pasta with alfredo sauce but she can never have cold noodles.

Hi ladies
I have the same problem - prepare lunch boxes every day for 2. Thanks for your ideas.
About the food being cold - I have a thermos that is the size and shape of a bowl, i put the food in there really hot and so at lunch time it is midle hot. It is also the exact amount of food for them! Look for these in the baby section.
My kids favorites for lunch box are: kitchiri with egg; tofu and veggies noodles; egg and potato fritatta; soya mince with spagheti (imitation of spagheti bolognese but with soya), pulau with panir.

I try to think about one dish combinations. For example, one day i send rice and i think about something to go with it like some simple panir, or some stir fry vegetables with nuts or some tofu. The next day i do pasta and think in something to go with it also. Some days i have some idea ready but others i don't. I always have some heinz beans, some veggie cutlets, some tins of sweet corn, etc for one bad day. Sometimes i just boil some pasta and sprincle panir and parmesan on it and they love it!

Great Ideas Anamika! I will try them for sure. Your list seems a perfect lunch box for my daughter. Let me also try the spl kind of box you have mentioned.

Mohana, I buy the readymade alfredo sauce from Safeway(American Grocery). Look for the one placed with all the cheese. Do not buy the bottled one. Its not that tasty.

Hi Kavya,
This is how I make it for my daughter. You can shred veggies like carrot, potato, cabbage and add peas if you like, saute the veggie with salt and tomato sauce is optionally added . Mix the pasta nicely with the veggies once it is done, add little salt in the pasta also. Garnish with coriander if you like.
