Tupperware...Its heartbearking to see all the scratches on any new tupperware item. She forgets to use the sponge and uses the normal scrub.

With all due respect (this is a serious question), what do you allow your maid to clean? Maybe you should save up for a dishwasher......

Previously I was too careful about the non-stick tawa and glass/porcelain items (for daily use, like dishes, water-glass etc). But eventually I gave in and give these also to her for cleaning. My present maid is quite careful in handling those.

Which I avoid giving to her are mixie parts and heavy porcelain items (used occasionally for guests).

Which I try to ensure that she does not use the hard/ steel scotch brite for the steel items and tell her to use sponge to these. But quite often she messes up with this :rant:rant:rant

Well..I do not mind buying a dishwasher if it is really effecive for all vessels in Indian cooking. But we do not have much space in my kitchen. Looking at the inputs provided, I have started giving the gas stove parts to my maid to clean.

    Thanks.

I dont give crockry, glass items and puja utensils. She cleans every thing else since i working. I gave separate scrubber for nonstick cookware so no problem.

I am using IFB dishwasher and it does a good job. But soap powder has to be ordered only from IFB. It is not available in stores. So I buy in bulk for about 3 to 6 months.

Some nonsticks and ceramics and light glassware are a NO NO ! for my maid.

Frankly I feel your maid does lesser cleaning than you bcoz your list is loooong!
