    Hi meenusmit,

Charlotte is a very nice area for indians and there are lot of schools. I live in the Ballantyne area and there are both expensive private schools and inexpensive church schools.

Which area are you looking at specifically? Give me more details and i can help you with more school names.

    Hi Sherin,

Hope you have settled by now... Ballantyne in South Charlotte and University area in North Charlotte are predominantly Indian areas. There are no specific "Tamil" areas.... it is all mixed always in the US.

Your son would either be in Grade 1 or 2 and would attend an elementary school. Your daughter would be in preschool (you have pay fees whereas elementary schools are free). Ballantyne area has the best schools in Charlotte but is far away from downtown. If your husband is going to work in downtown area it will take 1 - 1 1/2 hours one-way. Some of my neighbours work in bank of america and travel everyday from here.

Hope this helps. Post back if you have any more questions.

    Sukri
