Trying to conceive for 2 years

Hi all,
I am swetha. I am new to this site.
I got married 4 years back. We waited for 1 1/2 year and later trying to conceive but no luck.
I have thyroid problem but now it is normal.
I read in this site many people are travelling like me in the same boat.
In the month of july we went to RE, the doctor checked both of us and said everything is fine. He wanted to do IUI this month but unfortunately our insurance did not cover. So we requested our insurance people to help us. we are still waiting on this. and the doctor's office told until it is cleared they will proceed further.
Egarly waiting for the baby, i like babies very much.
Now this month as i am not under going any treatment me and my husdand want to try naturally, may be this time it might work for us. so i started reading vamsa vrudhi kara durga kavacham daily morning and evening 11 times.
But i do have some questions: When should i tie the red thread, please if any body know anything about this please reply me.
Also please post santana gopal paath, how may times i should chant that, do i need to follow any cutoms while reading this.
Please can anyone reply, i really need this. i will be waiting for your reply.
