Dear all, I want to learn swimming. I stay at velachery and cant travel long distances. I would appreciate if some one can shed light on some good places where swimming classes are conducted. Dear Ramya, One of the biggest Aquatic complex is in Velachery. This is run by our Tamil Nadu goverment only. There are many batches available. No age limit. They charge Rs1500 for 12 days of training. Female coaches are available too. The complex is behind Guindy Race Course Club and on the Velachery Main Road. Happy Swimming!

HI Ishwarya I too stay in velachery. One of aerobiki mate wanted to join swimming too. Yes Aquatic complex has lots of batches but not a lady coach i guess. There is one more in kottivakam,where there is a lady coach. You can go there if possible. Jayanthy

Got details from Aquatic complex. Lady coach is not available there. There is one Artvi Swimming Pool in velachery. They say they have ladies coach. Any one of you have gone there, please tell me if it is good. Thanks in advance...

Kottivakam pool is very small and the lady couch is waste, Pls don;t go there. Velachery govt Aquatic complex is very good. There is no seperate timing for ladies. Its mixed but there is a lady couch who will join. Its really good. Just vist and look around the complex you feel good.
