EAD info needed

I am no Immigration expert but as far as my limited knowledge goes, EAD is valid ONLY till your DH is an employee of the company that applied his GC.
I may be wrong..

 

Rosegirl, How did you get your EAD? Is it a L2 EAD or Green Card based EAD?If you tell that maybe you will get help here.

 

EAD is an additional ADDED Feature of an existing legal immigration status. If you acquire such status with your Green Card OR L1 visa(few more options are also there). As long as such status is valid, your ADDED Feature of EAD is valid(if the EAD is not expired).
The EAD would get automatically terminated if the L1 OR AOS(in case of GC) becomes invalid.
So, even your pending GC Hubby is out of country, as long as the GC is pending, your dependent status (if you filed for AOS too) and its ADDED EAD is OK

 

yes Rosegirl, so long as his GC processing is active and I-485 status pending, your EAD is also active.

 

Rosegirl, If its GC based EAD, You need to check with the Sponsor company. If they keep his GC application in process your EAD is valid irrespective of your husband being in the country or not.Its always safer to have something written from the company just in case they change their mind in the future.Good Luck.
