Re: Flowers that I made for my Home sweet home

Yes they will surely be available in Chennai. I'm staying in Trichy and I got the duplex papers ( Rs 30/-) and the satin ribbon (90/-) at Renuga fancy store, Teppakulam, Trichy. You can try a few fancy stores in your neighbourhood that usually sells chamki, beads, threads and other items for art and craft. I'm sure they will be available in Mint street. There is a fancy store in Iceberg Police station, Triplicane and one in Adayar signal. you can try there.

In one duplex sheet you can make two roses and a bud. the leaves and stem used are available readymade. Use twine and the 'greentape' used for flowermaking to secure the petals to the stem. for detailed instruction on how to make the flowers see the link below.

For the satin ribbon roses you should get a ribbon roll of 'one and a half' inch size. You can make nearly thirteen roses in one roll. See the link below for instructions. You can have a needle and thread in your hand to stitch through the satin rose when you feel that they are slipping from your fingers. The ribbon used in the video are not satin ribbons like i've used. The are the paper ribbons they use for gift wrapping. But I've used satin ribbon which are a bit heavy compared to that used in the video. I prefer my satin ribbon for my roses. But you may try as you please.

The tissue paper flowers are very easy to make. you can get colour tissue papers in any big supermarket. There are some in FSM, Trichy. And in Chennai you can try Nilgris. The link is below.

Re: Golden tree, Flowers and some easy crafts

    Thanks Joshila..:cheers
I guess the procedure is already posted by one of our ILites..But anyways, here's the procedure for you my friend,
    Procedure:
1)Take 10 thin golden wires(I took 8) and fold them equally into half.
    2) Twist it at the bottom so that u get 20 branches. Divide it into five branches eually from all sides. And twist the remaining.
3)Spread five branches equally. In each branch add a leaf and twist it, then add a bead and then twist it. Likewise, add leaves and beads as per your wish and imagination.
4)Repeat it till u finish the last branch. Divide the bottom portion equally and make it as a stand.
Hope it is clear..Any doubt, please let me know...Happy crafting:)
