    Girls,

    Need you suggestion.
M was eating dhal+ rice(pureed) for last one week..I gave her for like 5 days during lunch and she did ok with it.Can i start giving her rice for dinner?
Will it be heavy on her tummy to digest?

One more Question -M refused to take formula...so i was thinking if i can use it up for making milk rice..(puree rice and add formula milk)??
or may be aavin milk(1-2 oz) if she refuses. what say??

yes u can use formula for making milk rice....in addition u can also add fruits/veggies to it.

    my baby loves this recipe...

1 cup curd, 1/2 mashed cooked rice...1 banana chopped

in a pan add little ghee, saute banana, add mashed rice... while serving add a bowlful of curd to this..we call it fruity curd rice :p

PS: You can add raisins/dates to this too! Yummy it is :)

I never added banana to rice but I added it to curd and oatmeal. Both taste very good.

Pon, Even DS says "Na na na" in a tune whenever he sees a banana at home or at the store.

BTW, how do you add raisins/dates? Do you cook them before you add?

Even I tried the dalia with dates. DS liked it. Thanks :thumbsup

That's so cutee that Z is learning new words. DS says mama (of course only when he needs comfort), dada (only when he needs to pick him up), Ella=Elmo, Daaa=dog, duck=duck, doaaa=dora, juice=juice, mum mum= his mum mum snack and chee chee=shoes. Rest all is jibberish :)

    Hello ladies,

I was trying to make khichdi for my son. He's 9.5 months old. I boiled rice+dal and it had the texture that we adults eat. I put it in a blender to puree it, but was not able to completely puree. I had to then use a strainer and just take the pulp out.
I wanted to know if you ladies overcook rice+dal or I need to use a different blender.
Those in the US can you tell me which blender works best?
I have a ChefMate 5-speed hand blender....I bought it because it was cheaper and also didnt anticipate that it wouldnt work well....but if I have to get a different one, let me know and I will get it for my son.
