    Dear Chitra

Glad to see you are back to your home. Are you able to walk now easily without pain?

I will be returning back to Chennai next week. I want to buy the Mandolin slicer. I checked your gadgets index. I don't see them. Do you have one or any idea abt its efficiency. Please let me know. I have seen a few of them but not sure to buy or not.

    With best regards
    shubha

    Dear Shuba,
I walk -not easily at all, but with a lot of pain.:-(
But the doctor says, it will be 6 months to walk very normally, without a trace of pain.
I do not use a mandolin slicer. Pleaseask about it in
Shopper's Stop for Kitchen & Household items
if it is not there already.
    Love,
    Chithra.

Chithramma, how are you? Improving? Jeeeboombaaa, let all your pain vanish :))))) I tried a lot of your dishes, but just couldnt write FBs here, many from the jiffy cooking categories. Adai mix, kootu powder, all are soo handy :)) Thankyou :))
I have a doubt, am eyeing on cookies and muffins now. Chocolate based. http://www.indusladies.com/forums/ask-chitvish/805-cook-n-bake-10.html#post195446
This can be done with cocoa powder? I have them, but dont have chocolates as such. Any other muffin/cookies recommendations, with cocoa powder? I have told my DD, there is a paati in my laptop, who is teaching me all cakes/cookies. SHe is sooooooooo eager to meet the sweet-toothed paati :) Get well soon :)

    Dear mami,

Good to know that you are back home. I pray and wish that your pain eases soon.

Just now I made Eggless Brownies .It came out so nice :-D. I was apprehensive while pouring, because I thought it was not exactly in pouring consistency...was a bit thick. Not sure if I got it right. But the final brownies came out superbbbbbb much to my joy :cheers .After a gap I am trying something new in the baking section.

For nuts, I added cashew, badham and pista pieces too :tongue

    Thanx a lot mami .
PS: Is Vishalini asking for one such recipe in the previous post here :) ?

    Dear Chitra

thanks for the prompt reply. I went thro the details of the mandolin slicer. I think it is not worth buying it.

It is sad that it will take a while to walk without pain. It must be difficult for an active person like you especially staying away from the kitchen. My sister has the same problem. She is avoiding surgery as she has no help. My brother in law is also not very well.

I will contact you when I come there. I would like to meet you when you are free.

    with best regards
    shubha

Chithramma, i tried banana muffins, since i had many of them. But i creamed it too hard i guess, it sinked at the middle. DD was soooooooo excited, jumping and running around, waiting for fluffy muffins, but she was disappointed. She told me to learn better from laptop paati (you), next time :))) And she said, our oven has become naughty, spoiling muffins, she gave one chella adi to it:rotfl Aarthi gave me the idea to make pancakes, with the left over banana muffin batter :) I missed meeting you this time, neenga thaniyaa thaan enkita maatikanumnu irunthaa, you cannot escape, i cant stop talking that easily:biglaugh
Saras, wowwwwwww am gonna try that next.
