Hello All, I need some info regarding the procedure to apply for a passport for a newborn in India. In few weeks I would be travelling to Chennai for my delivery. I am planning to be back in US after 3 months after my baby is born. My husband would stay back at US and I have to apply for passport for newborn. I have few clarifications needed like - Is there any form to be signed by both the parents for applying the passport? Can we apply for the passport through tatkal scheme? If so how long would it take? Is there any specific number of days I should wait before applying for newborn's passport? What are the documents required?
