Dear Agayathree,

Your brother belongs Sagittarius Lagna. In the Kalapurusha chart, when counting from Aries, the Sagittarius is the 9th sign, the sign of Dharma Sthanam. Normally, the birth in the sign of Jupiter, i.e. Sagittarius or Pisces is considered to be blessed by Deva Guru Jupiter.

The Lagna Lord Jupiter has gone to 11th house from Lagna, which is considered not as bad; however, the Jupiter is occupying its enemy's house of Asura Guru Venus.

The Lagna is occupied by Ketu, and Rahu in the 7th house. The nodes in the 7th house is not good for happy married life; some times. Rahu in the 7th house sometimes may give marriage with outcasted people or even a foreigner. The occupation of Mercury in the 7th house, that too its own house is good; but as a general rule, the benefics in the kendras (1,4, 7 and 10 houses) is not considered as good and they will give adverse results. However, the malefics owning the kendras will not give bad results.

Apart from this, the Mercury in the 7th house will cause kendrathipathi dosha; Normally, the 2nd and 7th lords in any chart is inflicting of maraks and also as Sagittarius happens to be a common sign, the 7th house from the Lagna is Badhakasthanam and Mercury in that house is considered as Badhakasthanathypathy. Apart from the conjunction of Venus with Rahu is not welcome, for arranged marriage; some time it may lead to marriage, by run away. Venus is the lord of 6th house and also the 11th house; as 6th lord its placement in 7th house will some times give marriage with a close relative, may be maternal uncle's daughter. However, for the reasons explained above, it is doubtful, whether the married life will be happiest one, even though the boy may be a good; there are possibilities for marring the wedding by the life partner. I have given as per the astrological knowledge, I had read; but it has to be seen in reality. It is not my intention to make you panic.

The reliving factor is the 9th aspect of Jupiter and we have to see how Jupiter will be helpful.

Regarding the timing of marriage, the transit Saturn is aspecting 10th house; which assures marriage before the transit of Saturn from Virgo to LIbra, i..e before the end of Dec 2011. However the transit Jupiter is not much helpful since he is not aspecting the 7th house/7th lord;

While calculating the probable period of marriage, there are little hopes for marriage in October, 2010 or August, 2011, if he has blessings of God.

As far as Jupiter in the 12th house in your chart is not much bad; generally benefics in the 12th house is considered good on various counts. Hence, you need not get worried of the same.

Of course Mercury is the planet of intelligence; but generally basic education has to be seen from 4th and there is a school of thought, the 2nd house has to be seen for basic education. If 2nd house is considered as basic education, is aspected by Mercury - the aspect of its own house is considered extremely good. Jupiter is aspecting the 4th house. So, probably, there had not been much problem in your basic education, which means upto the level of degree.

While coming to higher studies, 5th house and also the 3rd house has also to be seen. The 5th house is for higher education and third house/house lord is the lord of initiative. If any one has initiative, then only he/she can succeed in any attempt. As the third lord Venus is directly aspecting the 5th Lord Jupiter, without any malefic aspect, if efforts are taken, there are every possibilties for success in examination. Saturn in the Lagna will give lazyness; because is a planet of sluggish cold planet; because according to Astrolonomy, it is far away from Sun. However, as Sun is aspecting the Lagna directly and as Lagna Lord is associated with Mars, it causes Raja Yoga.

Because of the placement of Saturn in the Lagna, you need some initiatives and as the 3rd lord is directly aspecting the 5th lord Jupiter, you can certainly succeed with sincere attempts. Normally, when the Deva Guru and Asura Guru are directly aspecting each other, such native will be high achiever.

The education upto the level of degree level has to be seen from 4th house and the higher education, beyond graduation has to be seen from the 5th house. As the fourth house is occupied by Saturn, a sluggish cold planet, you will have to persuade him and assist him in studies and once he picks up, the subsequent level may not be much problem. If need be, special coaching may be arranged for him.

As regards the request made by you, the transit planets either Saturn or Jupiter are much helpful for any promotion. As per the dasa period, the best period ending 14.07.2010, which was highly beneficial for any promotion/financial benefits; ofcourse this period is already over.

However, there are little hope till 11.0.2010 for happening of the event.

Dear Mithrakathir,

Don't worry about the child born in Chithrai, Adi or any other month.
Every month, every week, every day, every nakstra is good.

The birth chart of any one is the reflection of brought forward of previous birth's karma, which includes both good and bad.

Generally, the birth at the time of eclipse is considered not good; because in Astrology everything is based on vibration of planets, positioned at the time of birth.

How do we feel heat or cold - Is it due to the vibration of planets like Sun, Moon, change of season ? Similarly each and one planet has got some vibrations.

So, please worry of Patti stories, ofcourse some stories have some relevance; but not much in Astrology.

Sir,

I am learning astrology for last 6 months and i am very much interested. In the same forum, you has analyazed an horoscope which is little similar to my friends horoscope. the boy details 10-Jan-82, 8.35 AM, Bangalore. Like the given horoscope, does my friend also have following yogas

1) dharma karmadhi yoga ( 9th lord and 10th lord joined in lagna). But in my friends case, both mercury and venus are retro.
2) 2nd lord sani with 11th lord mars. ( in her case saturn is retro)

Also, i am reading B.V.Raman's book but i am confused about the order in which books should be read. Can you please let me know that sir. Please let me know if there any other good authors which i can refer for my learning. Also, if i post any queries regarding my learnings, can you answer sir. Sorry if i am disturbing you. but i am very much interested in this subject and its very confusing to learn without guru.

Can you please repost your friend's case, along with the reply given by me relating to her.

I hope you are a Tamilian.

If any one, who knows tamil can first read the tamil book namely, KUDUMBHA JOTHIDAM of Lifco Publication. This is a highly useful book for initial learning. If you can repeatedly read the same, you can learn a lot.

After well acquainted with the Astrology, I will certainly suggest the books written by Mr.B.V. Raman. In my personal view, there is no substitute for Mr. B.V. Raman, regarding Vedic Astrology - he is a Brahma of Indian Vedic Astrology.
